Algorithm Modeling Engineer:, This position will be responsible for modeling the various electrical drive components of a vehicle (such as the traction motor, batteries, and any other high voltage systems) and their impact on vehicle performance. Requirements include: Working with internal/external customers to manage control strategy in AC/DC (power electronics system; communicate with battery monitoring sensors for information gathering purposes; develop software for AC/DC converter and software for embedded hardware which will implement all control strategies. Qualifications include: MSEE or MSME degree; 5-10 years in vehicle design and development; experience with MatLab/Simulink, embedded controller design power electronics (specifically power converters), CAN communications particularly Vector CAN tools and Hybrid or Electric Vehicles. Candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment.- Ref 5110-1

Lead Software Engineer: Candidate will be responsible for: Leading the development, integration, testing, delivery and maintenance of high quality automotive software for a power systems ECU including hybrid and electric vehicle products; Integrating vehicle and motor control algorithms developed in the Matlab/Simulink environment into OEM specific production software applications; Developing software in compliance with a CMM level 3 based Software Development Process and Product Development Process (PDP); Implementing customer and application specific requirements into portable, reusable and modular software compliant to automotive requirements and design guidelines; Defining and implementing software architecture for safety critical modules, software FMEA, and software fault tolerant design; Maintaining the customer interface for all software related activities including customer design reviews, clarify and negotiate customer requirements. Requirements include: BS in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, (MS desired).7-10 years of experience in developing software using C in Real Time Embedded Controls for automotive applications.Embedded software development for 16 bit and 32 bit micro-controllers.Experience with Freescale MPC55xx and/or TI TMS320 processor highly desired.C code software development tools and environments for multiple micro-controllers such as MPC55xx PowerPC, Star 12/S12X, ST7, ST9, Microchip PICs, TI DSP. Solid Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow or Statemate. Hands on knowledge and experience in the software development of systems for some or all of the following: Powertrain controls, engine controls and/or transmission controls for hybrid or electric vehicle applications;Drive by wire, chassis or other safety critical software launch experience; Brushless Motor Control, Hydraulic Control Systems, Electric Motor Control,Power distribution, high voltage and high power embedded electronic systems, Servo/motor control, Stepper motors, Small DC motors, AC motor control, Actuators, resolvers, hall-effect sensors, fault detection and isolation, redundancy management; Experience in developing and implementing safety critical software, software fault tolerance design including familiarity with ASIL safety standards; Some OSEK compliant Real-Time OS experience is a plus; Experience in developing software techniques and algorithms for a secondary microprocessor in a multi processor system; OE experience with powertrain development tools and production control modules including ETAS' Inca/ETK desired; Knowledge of understanding and experience with implementing requirements for an OBD module. Power Electronics Electrical Engineer: This position will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of power electronic devices up to 5kW including high voltage charging systems, AC/DC power conversion, and DC to AC power conversion. Desire experience with designing, simulating, and building power conversion devices. Responsibilites include: Develop control algorithms for DSP's or microcontrollers used to control power electronics systems, and with the software required to operate them (auto code, or C/C++, Matlab, Simulink, RTW);Debug microcontroller software on a Star12 or TMS320 based platform; Perform module level testing and confirm the module operates to required specification; Utilize electrical tools for testing and recording (multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.). The candidate should have a BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering; Ability to analyze data and determine trends and look for failure points; Minimum 3 years previous design experience in high voltage power conversion designs; Experience with mechanical assemblies, and an understanding of mechanical, electrical and electromechanical devices.Experience with automotive and military requirements and design preferred Ref 5110-3

Power Electronics Team Manager Candidate will be responsible for: Managing the Power Electronics Department for automotive EV/HEV propulsion and energy systems products; Manage core development and engineering of power electronics products including electrical power conversion and motor controllers in all stages of the products life cycle from concept definition through development, verification, production and post production support; Developing product and technology roadmaps to support the business plan; Staff and execute program to meet business targets and product development milestones; Develop and meet budgets for power electronics product development; Develop and implement process disciplines to optimize engineering activities; Support the business line and sales personnel for new business acquisition; Lead the technical support needed for these activities and become the Technical focal point with customers and suppliers for all aspects of power electronics. Qualifications include: Minimum 10 years of power electronics design and development experience (automotive preferred); BS Engineering required (EE or Power Electronics preferred), MS preferred; Strong technical expertise in power electronics design plus experience working with suppliers (power modules, passive components, etc.);Minimum 2 years experience managing technology/engineering teams Ref 5110-4

Systems Engineer: , This position will be responsible for the integration of various embedded controllers into an existing production level vehicle. An electrical engineer with solid systems and software engineering experience particularly in the area of energy storage systems, high voltage systems and in vehicle communication networks Additionally all candidates must have a solid foundation in the Ford SCP protocol. Candidate should have: BSEE or BSCS required; 3-5 years in energy storage solutions development required; Experience with CAN networking and tools; Knowledge of the SCP protocol is highly desired; Experience with embedded controllers. Power Electronics Electrical Engineer: , Develop ground up power electronics and energy conversion devices. Simulate and test designs utilizing PC software to prove that the design will meet the system objectives. Create schematics in OrCAD or Altium and develop system level BOM's for the designs. Develop FMEA on designs and concepts to provide more reliable designs. Work with suppliers to arrange electrical testing, EMC/EMI testing, and environmental testing. Develop control algorithms for DSP's or microcontrollers used to control power electronics systems, and with the software required to operate them (auto code, or C/C++, Matlab, Simulink, RTW) Debug microcontroller software on a Star12 or TMS320 based platform Perform module level testing and confirm the module operates to required specification Perform in vehicle testing and assist with vehicle assembly. Utilize electrical tools for testing and recording (multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.).Assist in the mechanical design and packaging of the designed electronics including thermal considerations.
